The Ohio Hispanic Chambers of Commerce, in partnership with the Ohio Latino Affairs Commission, will be hosting the Ohio Hispanic Legislative Day on Wednesday, May 9, 2012. Our theme this year is: Hispanics – A Vital Component of Ohio’s Economic Engine. KEYNOTE PRESENTER United States Secretary of Labor Hilda L. Solis VIEW COMPLETE AGENDA, LIST OF WORKSHOPS AND PARTICIPANTS (click here for PDF file) This full-day event to be held at the State Capitol will bring Hispanic leaders together with Ohio legislators to discuss important public policy issues, and will foster dialogue about the needs and opportunities of Hispanic Ohioans. In 2011, over 150 Hispanic leaders from across the State participated in the event. Our partners will help to underwrite the venue and meals costs as well as marketing and meeting materials. The enclosed documents provide information about Hispanics in Ohio, reasons for investing in the Hispanic market, the event’s agenda and partnership opportunities. This day is critically important to both the Columbus region and our Hispanic community - especially this year, when many candidates seeking an elected office are vying for the Hispanic vote.
