The Board of Directors of The Ohio Hispanic Chambers of Commerce has announced the election of Alex Mendoza, current President of the Columbus Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, to the position of Chairman of the Board of the OHCC. Mendoza will succeed Rafi Rodriguez.

The Ohio Hispanic Chambers of Commerce, in partnership with the Ohio Latino Affairs Commission, will be hosting the Ohio Hispanic Legislative Day on Wednesday, May 9, 2012. Our theme this year is: Hispanics – A Vital Component of Ohio’s Economic Engine. The Ohio Hispanic Chambers of Commerce honored in 2011 Businesses and Individuals for their outstanding leadership, innovation and proven success within their region and community. The award recipients are selected by a committee of Ohio Hispanic Chambers of Commerce members representing Columbus, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Dayton and Toledo. Through its awards program, the Ohio Hispanic Business Summit (OHBS) brings awareness to the many contributions and accomplishments of Hispanic professionals while, at the same time, bringing together those from the Hispanic and non-Hispanic professional arenas to share ideas and contribute to an improved statewide economy.
